Written in Edinburgh by Eric
Pullin and illustrated by Chris Davis, who studied at Stevenson College Edinburgh, the books are published by Barny Books
and are a delight both for parents to read and for children to hear.
Each little book, illustrated in full colour, tells a fantasy story of why something should be the way that it is - all in an amusing rhyme. Early titles in the series include:-
WHY OWLS ARE THE WISEST BIRDS WHY THERE ARE WAVES ON THE SEA WHY STARS COME OUT AT NIGHT WHY ANIMALS DON'T TALK WHY ZEBRAS HAVE BLACK AND WHITE STRIPES
These first five titles are already available, a further five titles will be released over the course of the next year and more will follow, making The Why Series a perfect collectable set which can be built up by asking friends and relatives to give a Why Series book for birthdays or Christmas.
